RideTandem has been accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.
Every RideTandem employee earns not just the minimum wage but the real Living Wage. This hourly rate is set independently and updated annually, based on the cost of living in the UK.
COO and co-founder, Tatseng Chiam, said: “Without our team, none of this would be possible. Which is why, as well as committing to a fair wage, we offer health insurance, remote first working and access to an options scheme - so our employees own a bit of the company too.”
A recent report showed that nearly 5 million people in the UK either can’t access jobs full stop or pay an extortionate amount of money to get to them. This, coupled with the cost of living crisis in the UK, means RideTandem’s services are more needed than ever before.
Since 2019, RideTandem has:
- Completed 1.5 million passenger journeys
- Helped passengers earn £66 million in wages
- Supported businesses to avoid 16,000 tonnes of CO2
